The 26th China mining conference and exhibition is being held in Tianjin from Tuesday to Friday this week. It promotes international mining cooperation for mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. After years' development, the China mining conference and exhibition has developed into a platform for global mining industry for investment, dialogue and seeking business opportunities.

Nearly 400 domestic and international exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions are participating in this year's mining conference and exhibition. This year, the conference theme is "promoting mining cooperation for a better future." Over 23 forums and 12 dedicated product and brand promotion sessions will be held.
YANG SHANSHAN Tianjin "To tackle climate change challenges, China promises to achieve carbon peak in 2030 and carbon neutrality in 2060, reducing its traditional demand in fossil fuel, upgrading into more sustainable and green economy, how will this affect global mining industry?"
According to some studies, the total demand for bronze, lithium, nickel and cobalt, which are key to the new energy industry, will quadruple in the next two decades. This brings new opportunities to the global mining industry.
CHE CHANGBO Secretary, China Mining Association "China has already taken a leading role in the solar and wind energy development. However, this also brings new challenges of energy storage. We will devote efforts to make some breakthroughs in the energy storage field, and develop electrical vehicles that will help us achieve climate change goals."
Reports on China's mineral resources and development of the global mining industry were issued on Monday. They state that the future strategies of leading enterprises should include ESG standards. They also suggest that artificial intelligence, big data, satellite and remote sensing, and IOT technology could be applied into the mining industry to conserve resources and achieve sustainability.
