On June 22, the cooperation memorandum between China International Groundwater Model Center (CIGMC) and U.S. International Groundwater Model Center (USIGMC) was signed in China Institute of Geological Environment Monitoring. Their cooperation includes the research on underwater model and the construction of information system of underwater model and so on.

The details of their cooperation as follows:

1. CIGMC translates newsletters of groundwater model that were published by USIGMC once half a year and publishes them in China.

2. CIGMC develops the training of the groundwater model technique among China hydrogeologists with the help of the experts appointed by USIGMC. Lessons will be given and the technique support, the simulator investigation of groundwater and the relevant training, will be provided by the experts of CIGMC. International academic exchange conference for groundwater model will be held by CIGMC and USIGMC together.

3. The teamwork of developing new simulator software of groundwater will be done by these two parties together. The construction of China groundwater information system will be improved with the help of USIGMC in data storage, viewdata, data simulation, data prediction, model classification, statistic model and regression analysis etc.

4. To enlarge the academic exchange of the research on groundwater model, CIGMC is responsible for developing their own Chinese page (site) and then connects it with the site hosted by USIGMC

Followed U.S. and Holland , this is the third organization that is mainly for computer simulation and management of groundwater. U.S. International Groundwater Model Center (USIGMC) is situated in Colorado Mining Institution.
