China Geological Survey (CGS) has been discriminated as the Deputy-Ministry level institution affiliated to the Ministry of Land and Resources (MLR) by the central government authorization. According to the investigation and plot-out of the national land and resources of the country, the Survey is set in charge the deployment, organization and implementation of the basic, public and strategic geological and mineral exploration work, directly in duty as the unified administration of the nationwide public geological survey teams.
